Just bought a 21" barrel with rifle sights for my rem 1187(hasn't gotten here yet) am i going to need a butt stock with a raised comb like the ones on cantileaver guns? Just didn't know if the straight comb stock is gonna be too low and i would have to pick my head up off the stock to aqcuire the sights? Thanks in advance

I would try the new sights before ordering a stock. I have used "rifle" sights on a few different Rem. 870s. Either the factory sights on a slug barrel or aftermarket ones that clamp onto the Vent Rib. I haven't had any problems getting down and staying on them and I'm a tall/big guy. Those cantilever mounts on shotguns are excessively high, due to the mount being positioned up off of the receiver then after you add rings and a scope it's that much higher.

Thanks Dawg, the barrel is a rifle sighted smooth bore with rem choke, I'm probably gonna swap the factory inserts with Williams fire sights which maybe a Lil lower anyway

You should be just fine with your stock.  I put a 21 inch barrel on my 11-87 years ago and I would never go back to a longer barrel.
