Went to the farm in Calhoun this past weekend to do my last turkey scouting trip of the year there with my buddy before season came in.  Went early to listen and pattern some gobblers then pull some camera cards and see what we had on there.  We heard 12 different gobblers, gobbled really well early even after they touched the ground but not long after about 8:30 they were totally done for the day. They are still with hens and in bigger flocks I believe.  A couple of the gobblers sounded like they were alone and gobbled hard at about every crow and owl call we made but we did hear one group of 4 gobblers together.
Pulled the camera cards and had some real good pics of one ol boss gobbler with his hens strutting his stuff. I dont believe we heard this bird saturday because we heard nothing on that side of the farm where I know he roosts at, and why would he gobble with all those babes around him? lol  We got some cool pics of him, some pics of a bearded hen, and a couple pics of some bucks that are starting to grow.  Gonna be a great year, hope you all enjoy the pics.
