This is also the state that doesn't allow the use of foot hold traps.  Colorado has not been a friendly place for outdoorsmen for quite awhile.  Ski resorts do much more for the economy than hunting, fishing, and trapping.  Money talks and the people who run/visit those resorts aren't of the hunting community.

Colorado has been ruined by liberal transplants from California and yankees from the northeast.  The population growth has been in the Denver area mostly, and it has a revolving door transplant culture.  People in Colorado said that they had been "californicated" before anyone else ever used the term.

It's sad to see what's happened to the state I grew up in(1959 to 2001). It's the very reason I moved away in 2001. I send Gov. Chickenpooper hate mail often. The invasion of Californicators started in the mid 90's and slowly but surely have changed the state political arena. Maybe this will wake up it citizens in the next election.

I don't want to hi jack this thread but can someone explain to me how certain States (Colorado, California, Illinois, New York and DC) can over ride the Bill of Rights.  Rights not Privileges, that can be taken away by any State that wants to.  The Bill of Rights were written for all people by our Forefathers that started the Government, "Of the People, for the People and by the People." and we should not allow infringement by State Governments.  If we allow this to happen when it comes to the 2nd Amendment, then it could happen to any other amendment that we have fought and died for.

The 2nd Amendment and the Bill of Rights only covers the federal goverment. State laws always trump fed law, or they are suppose to. The 10th Amendment reaffirmed that "powers not granted to the federal government by the Constitution, nor prohibited to the States, are reserved to the States or the people". For example, due to the 13,14,and 15th Amendment, no state can reintroduce slavery. Yet, the State of New York can ban all firearms because there is no "2nd Amendment" provision in their state constitution.

Here in Vermont, our constitution predates the Bill of Rights. We have "2nd Amendment" language in our constitution, that is the law of the land. Vt is trying to pass new gun laws right now. They will all be striken down as unconstitutional in VT courts. If the Libtards wish to have new gun laws, they will need to amend our state constitution. LOL, good luck to them with that.

Hope this helps. You need to take this fight to your state capital. Dont worry about the Feds and their "2nd". Make sure your state tells the feds to suck eggs when it comes to gun laws. The feds can pass whatever they want. The states and their people need to ignore them, and nullify them within the state.

The Heller vs. DC changed this.

The Supreme Court ruled in Heller vs. DC that the 2nd ad is an individual right to bear arms no matter what state or district he or she lives.

These states are just trying to circumvent the constitution with gun bans and clip bans and ammo registration. This Colorado law will be stuck down also as I believe the NYSAFE act will too.

It's all feel good crap.
