Just got my Fred Cox Dymondwood striker, does anyone know what the hardness is. It is not listed in any Janka hardwood scales.

Thanks for any info

John

Dymondwood is a commercially manufactured product made of birch and sometimes oak layers that are dyed and compressed with heat and a plastic resin.  You might find more information at the website for Rutland Plywood, who manufacturers the dymondwood.

I would guess that the Janka scale is only used for naturally occuring woods.
