In a world where size matters, humans must make note that we stand as if a tiny grain of sand in the scope of all there is, and yet...as infinitesimal as that may sound, we draw the attention of God. How? Why? The first question is easy, because He loves us, oh isn't that the answer to the second question too? Our priorities in life never seem to match up with ow they should when it comes to our relationship with the Lord. For some crazy reason we want to put our self before Him, not all the time, but there are times when we do. If you are guilty of this, raise your hand, go ahead, just because you're reading this doesn't mean you can't respond....you ought to see me trying to type with one hand......
Matthew 22:37 - Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. There is a reason for this, not that we fail all the time in doing so, but there are those times when we over shadow the Lord by putting ourselves first, if it is in time served, or tithes paid, or putting off prayer or spending our quiet time in a boat or the woods without sharing that moment with God....we are all guilty of this ...let us just be honest for once.
Ephesians 4:27 - Neither give place to the devil. Easier said then done ...but if we work together with Christ and through God's word, the tasks before us would not seem too large or over bearing, if we adjust "OUR" height to "HIS" then we should surely see that in order for God to works more in our life we must remain His lesser, for it is when we try to stand on our own, that is when we so often fall....and Satan is always there to laugh as we tumble down that broad path to destruction.
Psalms 46:10 - Be still, and know that I [am] God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. In the end, let us try harder not to rise above but, stay under the shadow of the cross, let us spend our time wisely, by attending to His Will in Our lives, for it is GOD who will remain exalted, we are afterall but a tiny fleck of sand.....being held lovingly in the hand of our creator.....because He loves us. With our faults and all......
