A couple of years back I had a ginat bird that I named Gobzilla. Took two years to kill him.

I have another giant. I decided yesterday to name him the Gobblin. If I put a sign on a tree with his name on it he should come to it right? reflexl

Cool names. It ends up being more fun when you have one big ol target bird around. Keeps ya on your toes more in hopes hes tbe one thats coming in.
Aomeone on here a year or so ago posted a you tube video of a song about a bird that took 5 yrs to get. Cool song.
Good luck killin the Gobblin.

I really enjoy hunting a particular bird.Had one a fews years back in a cypress swamp that to my knowledge he was hunted 17 days, got a feeling he ended dying on the next property under a feeder.Random birds are fun to but I like a hit list bird.Good luck with your new monster!

I am lucky this time to have two. The Gobblin (26-27 pound bird) and a 2 year old with white wings. reflexl

Had a bird about 4 years back that I named Ol' Tubby. He got the name because one morning he got so far out on a limb gobbling that the limb bent over like a fishing rod and looked like it was about to snap.  Hence him getting the name Tubby.

Never killed that bird to my knowledge.  He would roost in a bowl with a pond on one side and hens just covering him up all around.  No matter what tactics we took (and their were plenty) he would always give us the slip.  Good memories though.

Reminds me of an old advisary....I named him 12 O'Clock Charlie.  This bird was silent at night, on the roost and in the late morning hours.  Noon rolled around and he would be on fire.  Took 4 years to kill that bird, part of him is on the wall..ahh the memories!
