Worn Down Wings!

Thought I would share this from one of my turkeys taken last spring.  I have shot quite a few turkeys in my day with worn down wings but nothing even compared to this fella.  Funny thing was, about 1 hour before I shot this one, had another turkey in on us at about 50 yds behind some brush that I could not get a good shot one.  I could see that turkey strutting and his fan may of had only 6-8 tailfeathers left in it.  It was the most ragged fan I have ever seen.  Then I shoot this one about an hour later only about 30 yds from where the ragged fan guy was earlier.  Great hunt, had my gun at the ready for almost 4 hours non-stop.  Turkeys everywhere, but where I needed them to be for a good shot.  Must be a rough bunch of turkeys on this new land I got to hunt.

I actually wish I could have seen if that turkey could even fly!  What do you guys think?

I don't think that's from dragging.   That looks more like a nutritional or health issue.

I've personally never seen anything like it.  The tips were absolutely gone!  Has anybody else ever experienced a similar situation?

Never seen anything like it. The quills aren't really wore down but the little feather thingies are gone.
