i have a mossburg 500 with a 24 in barrel I'm currently working on for this spring, i was wondering if anyone has any advice on which choke to try, also to the people who use red dot scopes i was wondering how well you like them and whats the advantages to them, I'm considering putting one on to try this spring, the main reason im thinking about putting one on is, im plaining on taking my step son for the first time this spring and i think it maybe easyier on him, thanks

I like the sumtoy choke in my 500. Puts up good numbers with the fed hw 7s. Sumtoy is good to deal with too, he'll make sure your gun shots good with the choke he sends you.

This. I'm looking to do the very same thing. Top that bad boy with a FastFire 3, and you are good to go! :icon_thumright:

I use a Mossberg® mdl 500C 20ga w/26" barrel. I have great results with a Wilson® SWARM™ .555" choke and Winchester® Supreme® High Velocity 1 5/16oz #4 Pb (#STH2034). I've been using this combo since 2007 with great results. My longest shot was 42yds on a 25lb Merriams in 2011. He was dead before his beak hit the ground!

In the final analysis it's all about what works best in YOUR GUN.
