Makes me proud to live in the show-me state. You know if the dim-witted libs would sit down with the NRA and other pro-gun groups, they would see how much,or possibly even more, they want gun violence and illegal gun ownership stopped. But since we all really know the liberal agenda is the end to private ownership and that they really dont care about keeping people "safe";the gun battle will continue with,in my opinion,no ground gained for either side.

A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands, love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper; his hands remember the rifle.

I glad I live in mo and I hope this will hold up but with obumo he will try and skirt around this

That's why they call us the Show-Me-State.   :z-winnersmiley:

So glad to see this. I didn't really want to move to Texas being surrounded by all these awesome lakes.

Unfortunately, it's mostly for show. Supreme Court has said that Fed regulations take precedence over State. Still, I'm proud that my state is at least making our position clear.

As always, when I post on ANYTHING about gun control, I'm going to repeat that holing yourself up for hours in your momma's basement and playing first-person video games in which the goal is to kill people, rape women, and steal cars just HAS to contribute more to a person going on a killing spree than having a 30 round clip available...

Never heard of the rape women first person shooter before....

It's not the games guys for crying out loud. It's the parents responsibility to keep kids from being exposed to violent games AND movies (remember those? Out before games.) I do agree some games are over the edge but I don't think because you play one that it will induce a mass shooting or a shooting of any kind. I do think that if someone is allowed to feed off that before they learn right from wrong and the truth about God and His standards, it could have an influence on certain types of children.

Think of it this way, its the same as handing a kid a gun and letting them go wild or raising a kid around guns and teaching them safety, responsibility and the consequences of ignoring those.

Any child that could be influenced to do evil by playing a video game will probably get that same influence elsewhere.

Cuomo passed this legislation just so he can say he did it first when he runs for president. I hope this strategy works the same way it did for Gore.

In my opinion, maybe federal laws take precedence, maybe not. I look at it like the states that are legalizing pot despite it still being against fed law. Just giving a big middle finger to the feds, who typically can't even enforce the laws anyway
