I wanted to give OG forum users as much advance notice as possible about the "Southern Illinois Classic" still target shoot.

It will be held at the Rend Lake Shooting Complex at Ina, Illinois on September 22, 2012. We'll start at 9:00 A.M. (Central Daylight Savings Time). That facility is just off I-57 and very easy to find. http://www.rendlakesc.com/location.htm

We will award prizes to all squad winners, to class winners and every person that attends will have an opportunity to win a very nice prize.

If you've ever wanted to see what happens at one of these shoots, it's a great opportunity.

It's a family friendly event and new shooters are welcomed. It's entirely possible for a new shooter to come home a winner. You don't need a fancy gun, just one that will chamber 3" shells in either 12 gauge or 20 gauge or both. If you don't have a gun, we'll lend you one.

This is also the same day the the largest Hunting & Fishing Day in the U.S. gets started at John A Logan college, just 20 minutes from the shoot location. It's an opportunity to spend the day with your fellow shooters and to visit a venue with many shows and vendors or all things shooting.

We hope to see you there.

Thanks,
Clark

The prize list for this shoot is growing pretty rapidly. I'll post the prizes that will be available either later this month or early next month. It looks like they will be some of the best that we've seen.

Thanks,
Clark

I thought I'd go ahead and post just a partial list of some of the prizes that we have so far.

ATI Adjustable Hunting Stocks

EvoShield Shooting System Shirts

SSX Turkey Chokes

Framed Art Prints

These are just some of the better prizes and there will be many more.

This shoot will be the last one before the World Championship shoot in October and just before the fall turkey season in Illinois. That makes it a great time to come out and try your turkey gun, have fun and maybe win some prizes.

Thanks,
Clark

September 22nd will be here very soon and I wanted to remind everyone at OG about the Southern Illinois Classic still target shoot.

Some big news is that we'll have a class strictly for "Hunter Guns" as well as all of the open classes.

We've had a lot of interest in the hunter gun class from folks who just want to see how their regular turkey gun compares to others or just want to pattern their gun before the fall turkey season.

The prize list keeps growing and I hope that you'll consider coming out to this event. It's family oriented with classes for all ages, men, women and youth. If you don't have a gun, we'll lend you one.

We'd love to see you there.

It should be a very good time.

Thanks,
Clark

The "Southern Illinois Classic" still target shoot takes place one week from tomorrow, September 22nd, at the Rend Lake Shooting Complex in Ina, Illinois.

We're having a lot of interest in this event, both locally and from folks in other states. It's a great opportunity to see what this sport in all about, give it a try or just pattern your turkey gun for the fall season.

Prizes are still arriving on a daily basis and we have 4 of the most beautiful framed prints that I've ever seen. EvoShield Shooting System shirts, Advanced Technology International (ATI) adjustable hunting stocks, TRUGLO chokes, gun accessories, knives, coolers, and many more prizes.

We'd love to see you there.

Thanks,
Clark
