First of all let me say hi.  I am the newbie around here, just joined.  I gave up hunting a a few years ago due to almost being shot by a poacher that slipped in on me.  My hunting hobby turned into a wood turning obsession.  I mostly make custom pens with a few other items such as bowls and lidded boxes.  Just last week a fella showed me a trumpet and asked could I make 1.  Well I managed one for him and decided it wasn't to hard do I have tried another.   This is my 2nd call to date.  It is Walnut and Maple and acrylic.  Comments and Critique would be greatly appreciated and thanks for looking.....Phil

Looks very good, but of course sound is the most important factor in a hunting trumpet.  The proof is how it fools the gobblers in the woods.

Nice looking trumpet, listen to the callmakers here, sound is so important, if looks could kill, we'd all be great hunters...lol...but it is the ultimate challange to produce real turkey sounding calls that keeps all of us turning....again, nice looking caller, pappy

preciate the commments, since making this one I have promptly broken 2 in a row.  Guess it could me harder than I thought.  Most likely it is operator error.

Hello my friend good to see  a few folks still remember me.  Looks like the game call business is treating you well.  I hope I can get a full acrylic trumpet turned in a week or so if i can get a blank poured.

Lyle aint so bad himself.
