One of my call owners sent me this e:mail.  Thought the hunt was rather unique.  In talking with him,  he only got one shell in his gun, but that was enough.  He included a couple pictures of the mature gobbler he harvested.

Bill,

This month I was selected to be filmed by the NWFT (I'm Houston/HCWG chapter member) in San Angelo, TX April 25-29 on Briley outfitters properties. This place is Hugh and the food was outstanding. Jed Comire was the ranch host this weekend and my cameraman was Jake Stocke of NWTF.This hunt was setup by Ray Hood Texas regional director and due in part because I can call turkey using my natural voice. However, on this Hunt I took a few pot calls from 'Crowell Custom Calls' as the wind was howling. We (Jake) and I got there to setup camera and ground-blinds for next morning hunt. Normally, I call with my voice, but due to high winds and I wanted to sound like two different birds. I started off with my voice and got a few gobbles off in distance. The birds didn't seem to be coming closer, so I switch to my pot Crowell call and gave out a few yelps and they got to moving closer. As the winds did not let up any I just kept using my custom call-as this was casting sound out louder and further. Just then there were three toms coming in running like they were sprinting in the 100 yards dash. That call cut thru the winds and those birds were upon us just in a few seconds. Now they got closer and paid no attention to me doing all the moving trying to load my gun (got caught off guard). These birds were so focus on my Ms. Sallie decoy, that they paid me no attention. The cameraman (Jake) said he has never seen birds respond that fast or that quick before. I truly believe the 'Crowell call' cut thru that wind and they heard it a long way off and came running. All this happen in 45-50 second of us getting set up for hunt.
