Stick with the Pure Gold .670
Everyone can talk a good game but the proof is in the pictures.

H13 3" 2oz #6 Pure Gold .660

H13 3" 2oz #6 Pure Gold .665

H13 3" 2oz #6 Pure Gold .670

H13 3 1/2" 2.25oz #6 Pure Gold .670

Al,

That's probably the best pattern I have seen from that load.

The top target looks pre-drawn or either you didn't draw your 10" circle around the densest part of the pattern

I want to say that I love my Pure Gold .670 choke.  And it shoots very well out of my 870 and Hevi-13 3" 2oz #7's.  But I get better 10" numbers with the Rem Ventilator .655 choke with that same load.

I'll show you some patterns.

Pure Gold .670 40yds tape measured  252 shot in 8.5"x11" paper

I think this was the 10" pattern underneath that target above.

Now let me show you some Ventilator .655 patterns.

Now in my honest opinion of shooting these same Hevi-13 3" 2oz #7 loads, I don't think you can hit this much better.  This is a 11"x11" target.

Now this was the backside of the cardboard backer that the turkley target above was taped to.  There is 282 shot in the 10" cutout.

Now here's another good pattern with the Ventilator and Hevi-13 #6's 1 and 3/4oz load.  And that was shot on a cool 45 degree day.

What jelly head are you using. It will be no different than the PG. If you dont have the right Exit Diameter, you may not like the pattern.
Als gun sure likes that PG 670 though.

I tried both the .665 and .660 Jelly Head chokes with the Hevi-13 3" #7's and my 28" barrel 870 didn't like either.  But the only way you know for sure is to try any choke.  Some swear by them in their 870 barrels.

I am having a lot of positive feedback from folks who have purchased the .660 Pure Gold chokes, especially those shooting the new "Tempest" model, regardless of the shotshell they are using with it, even though it was designed for the Flitecontrol Wad shells.

Thanks,
Clark

I have another question how much does weather affect patterns? It was about 50 degrees and raining lightlywhen I tried my jellyhead I had 196 in a 10'' circle
