I made my first kill today since switching to hevi 13. I was pretty impressed. I was using hevi 3/2/#6. Killed a nice 19 lb longbeard at 40 yrds . Absolutlely pounded his head.

Don't know at 40yds, but at 30 yards I witnessed #7 crush a bird on Sunday. Head and neck was eat up in shot.

Good job.  Those 6's are a good load.

I wanted to let him come a little closer, but he came about 100 yds already, kinda Hung up about 20 yards to the left of my set up, my buddy who was 200yds to my left was watching all this from his blind, he helped me out by doing some loud cuts once he seen he was in range. The bird gobbled then put his head up, lights out. When I shot him was the only time he came out of strut. He read the script this morning.

After seeing the patterns and how they crumpled my bird last week, I'm also sold on hevi 6's  :OGturkeyhead:

If I had a dollar for every gobbler I thought I fooled I'd be well off!
