Beards

What do you do with all of your old beards?  I normally glue them inside the shotgun shell that killed them but the other day I was putting this years in with them and picked a few of the old ones up and some of the strands started breaking off.  Anything to stop this or are they just rotting over time?

Make sure the ends of the beards are dried before you glue it in. It should last forever.
