tagged out in ohio in 2 days

this was a incredible year in ohio i scouted alot this year and new where  the birds were it started out on saturday for youth season i took my daughter  she shot a jake last year i wanted to get her a longbeard we headed out to my best farm  and got set up in the blind as it started getting light a tom sounded off about 150 yards away then 3 more farther back everytime i would call he would answer but never come in a few minutes later i look to the right there stands the 3 toms we had also heard i make a few yelps they see the decoys and strut right in at 6 yards she  lays the smack down on a nice 2 year old with her winchester 20 shooting hevi 13 2 3/4 6s she was ecstatic really proud of her shes also a cancer survivor

then on monday i go to the same spot and just like the first day the same tom did the same thing he would gobble at every call but never commit after 5 minutes of this i quit calling he needd to see where that hen went here he comes he circles to my left where i was already positioned one shot from the new 870 sps turkey hevi 7s was all it took to take a ohio monster 23.5 lbs 11 inch beard inch spurs

then tuesday in the same spot took a nice bird at 8 yards with the 870 and hevi 7s not 19 lbs 6 1/2 beard

a huge thank you goes out to everyone on this site ive learned so  much mainly about the guns and patterns i never would be shooting hevi shot this is the first time ive tagged out in 2 days may try to get the wife a bird this weelkend
