Ok, next project: tuning up my Remmy! Not really wanting to shoot anything but 3".
Has been a lead shooter. Need to polish the barrel and forcing cone. Trigger is set at
3 lbs. Has a red dot that I mounted on the vent rib and an adjustable cheek weld. Have
used this with smooth and rifled barrels which changes the sight picture, which is why
I installed the cheek system. It became my one gun for an entire season 2 yrs ago in
memory of my mentor and best friend, my father in law. Best shot and hunter I've ever
known! So, not sure if I'm staying with lead or not... Open for ideas here! Will post
a picture of it later. Thanks! :camohat:

i have a 870 sm with 21" barrel that i have hunted with for years. i got about 10 different chokes for it and narrowed it down to the kicks .660  with win hv #5 or a jellyhead for heavy mag blend. i have killed with both out to same yardage and have hunted this year with lead. mag blend is to high for me to shoot anymore. all 4 birds this year didnt care that my shells cost 12 a box or 30. just my 2 cents.....
