Kick's or PG?

I want to try a .675 and maybe a .680 with my MB 835 and Win XRHD 3.5/2/6, which would you choose?

Kick's, because if you aren't happy you can trade?
PG because it is a great choke?

So I have a PG .670 and would like to try a .675 and maybe a .680.  PG said they would make one, but it is special order and I doubt they would take it back for trade.  Kick's has .675 and up and I could trade if I'm not happy, and could just get both and send the one back that I don't like.

What do you think and why?

Just a little question for summer testing while I wait 3 more days to hunt.

I shoot a MB 835, 20" barrel, and will be shooting Winchester XRHD 3.5" 2 oz #6

Ray, Both are some of the best chokes Ive used in 12 and 20 ga. and numerous guns from eretta, remingtons and mossbergs. The kicks is a great choke; I would give them a try since I didnt have to wait on it. I doubt you will be dissapointed.

That's hard to say.  You won't know until you try them all out of your gun to find your true answer.

Ray have you tried the PG buck shot choke?  Its .696.

No, but I don't think I'd be happy with it and the Win XRHD.  TSS yes, but I'm going to get PG to make me a .720 for my TSS loads.   ;D

I know everyone on here swears by them put I have tried 2 pure gold chokes and they didnt work in my guns. One was 835 and the other was a maxus.  I know they work for alot of people on here, just not me.  On the other hand I am using a kicks 680 in my maxus that you recommended and it works great.  I also have two kicks high flyers (1 for the maxus and one for a franchi 612) and I have been very impressed.  So my vote goes for the kicks

X2. I'd start with the .675, I think all of them will provide you with a killing pattern @ 40.

I did a head to head test using my 24" 835 and that exact same shell.  I tested a PG .670, Kicks .670 and IC .675.  The IC won hands down for center of pattern density.  The PG and Kicks both gave really even patterns but not as dense as the IC.  The IC pattern would be really tricky on close shots but would be superior on longer range shots.  The PG and Kicks would be great choices at all but longer ranges.

So between a PG and Kicks it is a toss up.  Either tube gave the same performance.  Both are extremely well machined and look equally good.

I have a new 935 22" barrel put a Kicks .680 shooting win HV 3.5-2-5 at 40 getting 130-140 in a 10" circle. thats just old lead so if you were to shot the extended range I would say it could be even better.
