I see patterns on her and people say if was 40deg. out and see replys numbers will go up with better weather (warmer)  I'm old school and not really a number counter but arter reading on here I  did. I would hunt with eather load I have patterned but my numbers are not as good as most seem to have. shooting a 935 with comp n choke .670 win 3.5 hv 2 #5 or 6 gotting around 80 - 100 in 10" circle. It has been cold and windy so can I figure thies numbers to go up? I'm getting 20-30 hits in head and neck. I do have a kicks GT .680 to coming to try. I'm cheep and old school call them in close and not going to spend $4.00 a shot when lead works at $1.50.

80-100 is not horrible with lead, but could be better. I think you will find your numbers will go up on warmer days, though I'm not sure why. Wind is said not affect the pattern, but rather move it. I also think you'll get better numbers with that .680 over the .670 with larger shot. I spent plenty of time shooting turkey loads last year trying to get to 300, but never could. The 835/935 seems to shoot very well and with a little experimenting you should be able to get to 150 or so with lead. If you decide in the future to try the HTL I don't think you'll  be disappointed.

To answer the question about cold air and hot air, cold air is denser.  Cold air being denser, causes our shot to fight harder to get through it so we experience more fliers.  When the air warms up, it becomes less dense allowing the shot to stay together longer which equates to tighter down range patterns.  That's why we get higher numbers on 80 degree days compared to 40 degree days.  If your into numbers, only shoot turkeys on warm days with no wind and never hunt turkeys if the temps are below 40 degrees.  :TooFunny:

A deep cleaning to that barrel and choke might make your numbers go up.
