Has anybody used the glass over glass Tom Teaser friction call? Interested in hearing some reviews on it. I run Tom teaser mouth calls and love them, and have thought about trying their other calls.

Shellwaster

I run mine with his laminate or bocote strikers and they make joyful turkey sounds. I've also got a purple heart striker from Lee at Misfire Game Calls that bites and sings well on it. This pot is very easy to run and is often the first one I try when I pull out a pot. It conditions easily with a scotch brite pad. I will say, the one downfall of this, and any other glass pot, is its nearly impossible to run when it gets damp or high humidity mornings. I just ordered "rain" chalk from Misfire Game Calls for this very reason.

It can be ran loud and raspy or soft and sweet, depending on what the turkey birds want to hear. I do like the bite the glass offers when using the purple heart striker, it makes the clucks and cuts really pop.

I have and the bronze glass sounds pretty good.  All of his pots for the glass are walnut.  The only drawback is sticker bubbles on the soundboard (TT logo) and the pots sometimes have knots, holes, and nicks.  The finish is not as nice as my pots from Lonzo at the same price.  I ran everyone on the rack at an Academy store recently and a few women shoppers wanted to run me out.  But the calls all sounded good from unit to unit.  They rotate strikers in the calls sold in the box stores, and I cannot now remember which I thought sounded best.

I like TT mouthcalls and the new little box call, and I like Tommy.  I believe the call will suffice, but it is not as nice at $55 as some other, more custom options like Lonzo, Pappy's, BB Custom, and other ones on here.

Does Oconee Sports carry TT calls now?

You could invest a little time and drive right down 441 to Helena/McRae and go to Stumpy's shop (Dominator Calls) and run a bunch until you find what you want.  He is supplying bronzed glass, ceramic, etc. to other callmakers.  He won 3d place in whatever callmaking category he entered.  His pot calls will stand up well against others, and if you break the glass or need something, he is only 30 minutes south of Dublin.

You probably saw this over on GON:
