Well, I pulled the trigger and have one of Thads presses and tape cutters on the way.  So, Im asking for a mentor to steer me in the right direction with reed tension . Looking for some starting points. If anyone would like to converse about it, either openly or privatly, Im all ears. Appreciate it.
Thanks,
Mark

Try .130-.150 for 2 reed calls and .170-.190 for 3 reed V calls.

I filled up a coffee can full of mouth calls before I figured out what I wanted. Good luck,

I guess this is a case of why we're all diferent but I run my three reed calls between .135-.150 and my two reeds .140+

TRKYHTR is right you'll have alot of unique calls on hand when you finaly do settle on what you like.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

I appreciate the help!!

I'll give you another piece of advice.  Everything you do such as how close the reeds are stacked, what thickness, and color makes just as big of a difference as tension.
