I always shot lead, but I'm interested in tryin something new. I shoot old Kicks 650 and 660 chokes, which shell would be the best for me to try? I'm shootin a Benelli sbe with a 26" barrel and a Rem 870 with 21" barrel. Would y'all recom the 3" or 3.5" shell and what size shot....been shootin Win lead 6's for a long time.

jbrown, I shoot a 870 Supermagnum, with a Primos Jellyhead .660 choke, and Winchester Supreme Elite Extended Range 3.5" #6. I killed a gobbler yesterday afternoon at 35yrds and it literally turned his head to jelly. Bad to the bone.

If you were looking to put more pellets down range I would go with the Hevi Shot #7's 3 1/2" 2 1/4oz. if not I would go with the Win Extended #6's 3 1/2" 2oz. You may have to try different chokes either way. Not to sure.

Jim, I'll bring some extra Hevi 3.5" #7's with me next week and you can try them out to see what you think. I'm going to be there Wednesday afternoon, and my three day tag will be for Thursday through Saturday. I won't be hunting Wednesday, so maybe we can go pattern your gun after I arrive, if you aren't busy.
