Most memorable hunt...

I've got many...The one that sticks out though is a cool April morning in the mountains of Virginia. My buddy and I hit the owl call and heard about 4 gobblers sound off UP the mountain, so began THE CLIMB. After about a half an hour of owl hooting and locating we set up. We began hen calling and had immediate responses, within 10 minutes or so what we thought was one lone bird, were two BOSS gobblers...my buddy who was to the left of me about 10 yards up knew there was two, I did not (they were over a slight rise). He shot and put the first bird down and immediately the second bird went airborne. Realizing what was going on I stood up and luck would have it the other bird was flying directly at me!! I cranked off the 870 and dropped it....after a morning of straight up the mountain walking we had two nice birds on the ground.....and the rest of the day to trout fish!!!
