I've got access to some private land in western Oklahoma this spring.  I'm looking for some help from you guys that live or hunt out there.  I need some advice on tactics for that terrain.  I've only hunted swamps and Ozark mountains.  I've never seen the property and not sure how good it will be for turkey hunting.

Anyway, if you would like to help me out, shoot me a private message or reply here.  I'd like to get some tips before I head out there in April.

FttFttVroom!

Born and raised in western Oklahoma (Alva) and been hunting turkey there every year for 22 years.....PM me anytime!

I live in Northeast Oklahoma, but have hunted turkeys in Northwest, and Southwest Oklahoma since the '70's.

If I can help, just PM me.

My apologies, this thread probably should have been under the "tactics" board.  Please feel free to move it if needed admins.

Thanks.

Tail Feathers

Lots of flat land where I hunted last year.  The birds by and large stayed in and near the creek bottoms and low lying areas where the was cover and trees.
Liked it so much we're going back this April!
Good luck there.

Oh yeh, you almost can't call too much to those Rios.  It's a blast for a call-happy fool like me. :z-guntootsmiley:
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

Thanks.... I like to call lot as well.  As far as I know, these birds are not hunted by anyone else unless it's on adjoining property.
