I got a sony video camcorder that takes a small vhs tape (i know i need to get up to date but got it new only 5 years ago ).The problem is i need to know how i can burn a cd from the cassete tape.Has no computer hookup.Thanks.

Hook up your video camera to your DVD recorder player. Then play your camera and record to your DVD player. Once you are done you have to finalize your DVD, otherwise your DVD wont play in a DVD player. I have 2 different recorders, 1 I use the menu button and follow the directions to finalize. The other I use the set up button to finalize the DVD. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions just shoot me a PM.

Thanks for the info Joe.Best buy has a thing you can buy to make this happen but its like 200 dollars. :o

HARDCORE

For around $50.00, this is all you need.   Avid Dazzle DVD Recorder HD with Pinnacle Studio HD v.14 Software

Your camera came with AV cables and possibly an S video cable, you will need those as well.

That camcorder should have a way to hook to a computer.. either through a firewaire or usb .. if not you can but the S Video converter thing mentioned.. then use some type of SW like Pinnacle to create your Movie and Burn to DVD .. I have an old S video Conveter thing I got from Best buy .. and like said it came with a copy of Pinnacle ..

My camera only came with a cord that goes from it to the t.v. but i went to radio shack today and they have a box i can buy for 39.99 that hooks from your camera to the comp using a usb cable.so i might do that or they also have a big vhs tape that the little one goes in and stick that in a dvd recorder and vhs box so i dont know what im buying yet. Thanks for the info guys and im gonna look into that avid dazzle hard core mentioned.Appreciate it guys.Im not up to date on all this electronic stuff.
