well i got my eye on a benelli but the price really kills me.Just cant see them worth 1500 bucks. my friend has a 930 with 24" barrel and loves it. what is everyones opinion on these guns?how do they pattern etc?thanks

The 930 is a fantastic gun.  It is everything the 9200 is/was not...A good reliable soft shooting semi-auto shotgun with a good price tag.  I sold wuite a few of them and honestly never had one come back with an issue.  I have also shot my buddy's a bunch and I really liked it.  He has the 28" bbl version and it gets alot of dirty steel goose loads through it every year and he hasn't had it jam or misfeed once.  I would honestly put it a notch above the new 11-87s for reliabilty.  As far as turkey loads and patterning?  He uses a Jellyhead and 3" Mag Blends and gets very nice, even, dense patterns at 40 yards.
Big Al's "Take-em" Style Silhouette decoys Pro-Staff.

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind te most.

I also have a 930 with a 28" barrel. It's a great gun. Mine has a good trigger, crisp and with no creep. It's one gun that I've not even considered replacing the recoil pad with a Limbsaver, which is normally the first thing I do to any gun. The bore is slick and smooth and it shoots to point of aim.

I've shot the gun a lot with various shells from 2.75" trap loads to 3" turkey loads and had no failures of any kind.

It's drilled and tapped so it's easy to mount optics if you choose to do that.

If you're looking for a reliable self-loader it's certainly one to consider.

Thanks,
Clark

I love my 930 Turkey so far.   I used an IC Black Diamond Strike .660 choke and Hevi-13 3/2/7 to take this bird a couple  of weeks ago.

Please "deep clean" the bore and pull the fire control unit and remove any excess oil or grease. That will pay you big dividends in long-term performance. Enjoy your gun.
