Boot Insoles

Anyone trade out the insoles for something better? I put a pair of some type, cant remember what, in my Pronghorns and it seems to be better. Just wondering if yall have something you'd recommend.

I have a new pair of Danner Sharptail snake boots. They are very similar to the Pronghorns, but they are pull on style instead of lace up. They were pretty comfy already, but my feet have been hurting lately from work boots. I bought a pair of Dr. scholl's massaging gel inserts to give them a try in the new Danners. Our season opens in a couple of weeks so I will know how good they work after a few hunts. They felt pretty good walking around the house.

I do. Then again I change out the insoles in most of my shoes/boots.
I use a retail orthotic sole made by Powerstep. They help reduce the pain I sometimes feel in my arch. The down side is the are about $30 a set.

If you're  gonna walk in 16 miles you better double up on the insoles.

I use custom insoles in mine.
I have used the Doctor Scholes custom insole that you get after standing on the little machine at Walmart or where ever. They work good as well.

I started using these when I trained for the manchu mile (28 miles in 8 hours) and have never looked back.  If I put any pair of shoes/boots on these are in them.  First trim them to the same size as you stock insoles.  Next put them in the oven at 250 degrees for 10 or so minutes, pull them out and put them in your boots, lace them up tight, and stand still for another 10 or so minutes.  They mold right to your feet. 

They are a little pricey but I have had them same 3 pair for over 5 years and they are still going strong.
