El Pavo Grande

I took my son squirrel hunting with me right before he turned 5.  Of course we spooked everything within a half mile.  He went turkey hunting a couple times last spring at the age of 6, but we didn't get a shot.  Deer hunted a few days this fall, but no luck either.  He is now 7 and ready to go this spring.  He has a 20 gauge he can handle real well.  Look forward to this spring.

My youngest is 4, which is about the age my dad would let me tag along with a fake gun or BB gun.  He sat in the blind with me a couple of times this fall, about an hour at a time and then he was done.  I love it and can't wait for them to go all the time.

I was hunting when I was 3-4 with my dad and killed my first turkey when I was 7 so the earlier the better I think.

I took my 3 year old son squirl hunting this year and just walking around in the woods. He loves watching it on tv with me and I'm thinking by next year he might be old enough to understand how to keep a little more still or quiet and can come turkey hunt with me.
