Joey and I went duck huntin today. I had gotten drawn for a refuge that was about 2 hours away. We weren't very hopeful because of the weather and they hadn't been killing much. They had a 2.4 duck average for Wednesdays hunt. We had 3 other hunters move in on us after we were already set up but they eventually moved a good bit north of us. We had a great hunt and had our limit by 8:00am. Great day to end the season for me. Our season ends tomorrow but I'll be at church. Memories with my boy.

Great way to end the season, nice haul.
"I admire a good turkey hunter chiefly because such a man displays qualities that we usually associate with pioneer America-patience, enthusiasm, woodcraft, game sense, and a quiet hardihood undaunted by rain, by cold, by long tough miles, by disappointment."

Nothing like closing out the season on a hunt with your son. And a heavy strap is nice too!!  Congrats to both of you.
