Setting up the guns
January 08, 2012, 07:14:06 PM
I had an 870 with a slug barrel that I am purchasing a 26" barrel for and going to set it up. I also have a tristar viper G2 T/W that I bought last year and killed a bird with. I am going to be rigging them up pretty good this year. This is my second year of turkey hunting....last year it took all of 10 minutes for me to get completely addicted to this game.
Any reccomendation on chokes, loads, etc for the 870 and tri star?

For the 870 a jellyhead and either the Hevi13 3" 2oz or the 3.5" 2.25 oz loads will be a killer combination.

For the 870 I was going to start with a 665 jellyhead and maybe some Hevi 13 or Mag blends. For the tristar I got a PG 670 and some hevi 6s / hevi 13s
