What is everyones opinion on the 9200 for a turkey only gun? I have come across one for what seems to be cheap.

You can make any gun a shooter.  Just may take some time to tune it to your needs.   :icon_thumright:

I have owned a 9200 and can tell you for fact that it is the biggest piece of junk that any gun maker has ever built.  If you sent that gun back to Mossberg for any kind of warranty work that they will not send it back to you but will actually send you a different gun in its place or this is what they use to do. Don't even waste your time with the 9200.  I'm actually surprised that you even found one. LOL :TooFunny:

What kind of replacement will they send? lol. Id buy it and send in for a new one.

My buddy had one that the ejector would rip the brass and leave the hull or round in the chamber.

I think bird is right on that one.  One of the worst guns that had the most problems that Mossberg ever sold.

If you are gonna go Mossberg, go with the 835 if you want a pump, or if you want an autoloader, go with the 935.

I had a 9200, it was probably one of the few that wouldn't jam up LOL. I had 2 barrels a vent rib and a cantilever scope barrel(Rifled). Im not sure if you noticed but that gun handles like a tank, and with the canti barrel it even heavier. I shot 3 turkey with it using a H.S. Strut Under Taker choke and alot of deer with canti barrel. It was a solid gun, I started hearing all the horror stories about cycling problem and jamming. I didnt want to really sell it but a buddy of mine wanted it so bad I couldn't refuse the money LOL. Good luck with the one your looking at, it may be the one out of 1000 that doesn't any cycling or jamming issues. There are alot better deals out there, why even take the chance of gettin one the jammers.  Crappiepro

Ive seen a couple broken ejectors on the 9200's and have heard of similar issues as quite common. I'd pass on that one, just my 2 cents.
