Is there any interest in custom 2 piece strikers for those on a budget?

Hey guys.. Just have a question.. Is there any interest in 2 piece strikers with purpleheart dowels and cutoff tops, anything from exotics to domestics?  I would be charging 8 dollars apiece shipped.  It would be an alternative for those on a budget.  Interested in your feedback.

Myself I like a two piece striker, actually I prefer them over a one piece. I feel you get a different tone out of them with two different woods than a solid single wood striker.They both play the same, but for the reason said above is why I like a two piece, and with all the different wood choices for dowels you can make them sound anyway you want. If looks are more important to you, then a one piece is the way to go, but for sound I prefer a two piece striker.

I turned a few 2 piece strikers in past years.  I tried the pre-cut dowels and also turned some of my own dowels with a chuck and tailstop.  I found it took nearly as long to turn the tops as it did to turn a single pieced striker, so I didn't gain much in the way of cutting costs. 
   
The 2 piece strikers are often more forgiving than single pieced strikers.  That said, a solid striker turned to match a specific call for a specific sound (pitch/tone) is hard to beat.

Two piece strikers aren't really cost effective for my part, as time is about the only thing we can profit from, and I spend as much if not more on two  piece strikers then the one piece. Would people on a budget buy them over a one piece priced higher? sure, but would they get the quality of matching a pot to a striker? i doubt it, why would some of the mass produced call making companies use a two piece over a one piece, because to them they are cost effective, as they buy the dowels by the thousands and drill them through mass machinery, and pay near nothing for them to be made. I have always sold what my customers wanted, whether or not they made good choices.....I cannot say, but chosing a striker because it fits a budget, is a big mistake, buy a striker that fits the pot.......

Thanks for all the feedback, guys.  I'm considering it because I figured out I can make a decent profit off of them if I use cut offs from stuff.. But I myself prefer a one piece striker.  If I make 2 piece strikers to send out, they're gonna have to be able to run well on any call they touch.  I do my best to make strikers as universal as possible. Just trying to expand my horizons..
