BUMMER Neal, you and the wife SHOULD HAVE stayed in Wisconsin and ENJOYED COLD temps and 18 to 24 inches of snow!!!  Just kidding!!  What a Vacation and even better hunting opportunities for you both!!  2 and a half weeks of Island hopping in a Beautiful State and add in some Wonderful hunting opportunities to BOOT...ABSOLUTELY!!  Congrats to you both!!!   

Lol!! One thing I'm getting more annoyed with as time goes on is the snow and cold so disappearing during the winter never hurts my feelings!

Amen Brother!  Must have been tough leaving the FROZEN TUNDRA!  My BEST to the entire Hooks Family.  I definitely miss Talking Turkey with Scott.  I never met him personally, but we had some Great phone conversations.  Enjoy the Spring Season.

Congrats! My son and I turkey hunted on the Big Island twice close to 20 years ago. The scenery is stunning and the birds were very cooperative. The climate can be dramatically different too as the birds were scattered at various altitudes.

We hunted up to about 8,000-8,500 ft one morning and it was in the 30's with snow down to the 9,000 ft level on Mauna Kea.

You are a bad influence. I just might have to do that trip again, although the flight home through the night ain't no fun.

What a great trip.  I never really think about Hawaii and hunting.  Thank you for sharing the adventure with us.
