New Zealand turkey hunt

The TFT contest to win a turkey hunt in New Zealand got me to thinking about going there. Has anyone used New Zealand turkey adventures for a trip there? I feel sure since TFT is using them, it must be a pretty reputable outfit. Any other outfits anybody could recommend? I would be going strictly for turkeys, but a couple of the fellows going with me might be interested in other game as well, so having that option would be a plus. Wives might be going so sightseeing opportunities would be a huge bonus as well.

Any help, tips, recommendations, etc would be greatly appreciated.

I have never been He did an interview on turkey hunters podcast. It would be worth listening to if your interested.

I believe the seasons are reversed but NZ was discussed often on the old NWTF forum.   I think the birds are considered Rio but don't hold me on that.  It will be a long plane ride.  Good luck

I went years ago,2005ish?

I would call the birds I hunted Merriam no doubt.

Place was loaded with birds, I killed over 20 in a week, 13 with a bow

Great trip hope to get back and explore more, all I did was hunt when I went!

No help on outfitters.

A NZ hunt just popped up on Shockey's bookyourhunt.com.  It hints it's a bow hunt only.  Don't know if NZ became very gun unfriendly like Australia did.  Bet getting the 12 ga and TSS in might be a problem.  Not going anyway just like to window shop.  Lol.
