SBE vs M2

Anyone have experience with the SBE and how they pattern? Have an m2 currently that's phenomenal. Got a chance to pick up a SBE on a steal and want to know if it will shoot with the m2. Assuming it does, but want to check.

I have several sbe3's my turkey gun is the pistol grip sbe3 and I love them.  Never had an M2 so I can't compare but I couldn't be happier with mine from my waterfowl guns to my turkey gun

Correct me if I'm mistaken. But I don't know that you can get a pistol grip for the SBE in 20. I'm running a mesa tactical on my m2

I'm not exactly sure to be honest, my turk gun is a 12g.  I have several sbe3 12,20 and 28 that get used mainly for waterfowl but several of my friends and family use to shoot turkeys when I take them.  I guess I shouldve clarified more, if you can get an sbe3 at a deal, you cant go wrong in my opinion!  I love all mine.

im assuming you want a comparison of each in 20 gauge. I own both the M2 and the SBE3 and each has a 24" barrel. Shooting the same choke (IC 562) and same handloads the patterns are very very close to the same thing with the M2 being slightly tighter core (268 for M2 vs 258 in the SBE3).  I have a 580 carlsons and a 570 Anaconda im gonna shoot in the SBE3 just for knowledge but.  Its only a sample of 2 but like I said they seem to shoot pretty much the same for me.

I had both. M2 with a 26" barrel and the sb3 with a 28" barrel. The sb3 didn't make the cut. Each to their own but myself personal opinion is the m2 is the better gun

I have never had an M2 turkey gun but do have a field model with the 26" barrel and a pistol grip SBE II (both 12 gauges), but I was lucky and found one of the new 24" barrel 20 gauge SBE III this year and it's gonna certainly be my main gun from now on. I also have an 870 youth 20 gauge, Franchi Affinity 20 gauge turkey and a Stevens 301 NWTF edition in 20 gauge. I don't hunt the 12s any more. I never have had any problems from any of the above, but the SBE III has only been zeroed and patterned. Apex Ninja 8.5s put about 285in the 10" circle and another 165-170 in the 20" at a lasered 40 yards.

I read the sbe3 were having POI/POA issues. I picked up a m2 20 and I could not be happier.
