Why so few options for a 3" 28 gauge?

Most of the turkey guns in 28 gauge I see are only chambered for 2.75" shells.  I know the Benelli SBE 3 28 can handle 3" (not gonna pay that much).  Why so few 28 gauges chambered for 3" shells?
I live and hunt by empirical evidence.

Just my opinion but it's about demand and return on investment.
It's not a super high demand gun so the options are limited. I'd def grab one if available in 3". And prob need to be a pump or American possibly European single. I've got a bunch of 28s, mostly stacked barrels.  It's all I've hunted small game with over 30 years but ain't modifying none of the guns.

I have been watching a lot of 28 ga patterning videos on youtube on the "Review this thing" channel and they get patterns very similar with 2 3/4 ammo as they do with 3 inch ammo. If you are just wanting a 3 inch chamber to turkey hunt with TSS it appears to me it is 6 or 1/2 dozen between them. I know I shot my NEF Handi with a 2 3/4 Apex load recently and it kicked like a 20 gauge, not suitable for a smallish  child

Not sure why they don't make more 3" guns, but I have seen in my tests and others that the 2 3/4 patterns better, so have not thought much about it. I assume it has to do with needing less spacers than a 3" shell.

I bought the 28 SBE. The 3" comes into play more for me in the waterfowl loads. I can get 1 1/16 oz rather than the 3/4 or 7/8. Bismuth in the 28 gives me the load I need to take my pea shooter in the duck swamps. The TSS 2.75 loads are fine for turkeys. If I could afford it, I would load up TSS for ducks too, but that is out of my price range, lol. Z
