I, 100% prefer to pack a turkey in a vest.

If, I am not wearing my vest a tote is awesome. To me, it is much more comfortable than slinging one over my shoulder as when I was young.

To me the downside is blood all over my side. Just like slinging one over the shoulder. I have only done the tote for two years when it has warmed up later in spring. Maybe, I need to work out a plan on the blood issue.

Might try wrapping the head in a plastic bag of some type. That might help with that.

Have to ask this. If wearing a vest why not use the game pouch and keep the blood off of you? And if you do have a vest why wouldn't 2 straps over your shoulders be more comfortable than a single strap turkey tote? Also if you're a true minimalist why not take your sling off your gun and use it for the turkey  strap and just carry the lighter gun over your shoulder?

Yes I have one and use it - they are minimal weight and space - I am a picture taker and they are great for hanging one up for pictures-haven't seen anyone yet mention that yet - a turkey wallowing around in the vest game bag doesn't look real good when you get back to the truck to me.

Best way I have found to carry out a longbeard
