I posted this in the turkey gun forum here but I know the general section is more active. Many years ago I decided to camo spray paint my 1992 870 Wingmaster and I have regretted it ever since. The metal, wood stock and forearm all need to be refinished. My dad bought me this gun when I was 14 years old and I want to restore it. Any ideas? Yes I now know a real dumb idea lol.

I should think any of your local, competent gunsmiths could do it easily.

I did the same rattle-can raping to my very first shotgun.......a Winchester 1200.  My smith was able to un-do all of it without issue.

The good Lord ain't made a gobbler I can't kill.  I just gotta be there at the right time.....  on the day he wants to die.

Agree, I would check with your local gun store and ask them who might do the work in restoring your shotgun...

Thanks guys that is something worth looking into. I was actually watching some youtube videos and restoring the wood looks pretty easy. It's the bluing I would need done.

Why not just order a set of Mossy Oak Graphics gun skins & do it yourself?

I am not really looking to make this a dedicated turkey gun. I am looking to bring it back to its original finish more for sentimental reasons. I will bring it out hunting here and there but I have 5 dedicated turkey guns that I love.
