And was disgusted at what it has become. Some of my fondest memories are of my Dad sneaking me out of bed on school nights to watch boxing as a kid. I think I caught the tail end of the golden age of the sport. i have much respect for all the great ones, but I loved Tommy Hearns. I was thinking about it and thought I would I would get on you tube.

This is one of the greatest matches I got to watch. I loved Hagler, but Tommy was my guy. Tommy, lost but fought his heart out after breaking his hand in the first round. You will probably never see another fight like this again. MMA and UFC aint got nothing on this.

I grew up during the time of the heavyweights with the start of Ali's career, Frazier, Foreman, Norton. My dad and me never missed the Friday night fights on television. He was a big fight fan, like myself, but now I'd rather watch the UFC fighting.

Same here 25 years ago, now it is box office. Sugar Ray Leonard and no mas Duran, Haggler and many others. I really lost interest with the likes of Mike Tyson and his ear biting crazy person routine. He helped ruin the sport!

I remember watching Hearns vs Hagler. Greatest fight I ever saw!

I met Hearns in the 90's and his is a big dude!  I always thought he was small till I saw him.   Nice guy too.
