Turkeybutt

Thanks Greg for the heads up.
Okay, so who used this ammo and what do you think of it?

I started shooting Salt Creek this spring. 20 ga 3" #9 . Patterns amazing, customer service second to none and shipped fast. I'll be sticking with them moving forward

Turkeybutt

I bought 5 boxes of 3" 9 shot 20 gauge 1 5/8 Oz. Salt Creek Ammo
I'll let you know what I think at a later date.
I want to compare them to the Rouge Ammo I have.

Have you had issues with buffer leaking out since they are fold crimped? I have issues with Foxtrot leaking buffer. Have to seal them with some Elmer's and fingernail polish or they will leak after a couple of hunts. Patterns are wicked with the Foxtrot, but just sucks having to seal them after paying $60/box. They are sealed with something, but it sure doesn't work.

Did you contact Foxtrot ammo? I have used them in every gauge. The only issue I have had was 20 plus years ago when I was shooting Nitro.  Contacted the owner of Nitro, and he offered to replace it, but I sealed them with gasket sealer. Foxtrot ammo throws some of the best patterns I have seen. The only exception is handloads that I have been putting together.

Have a good one and May God bless, Bocephus

Not heard of them. They should shoot fine.

I did. He offered to reload them, but it was less of a hassle to just seal them all myself instead of send them all back. He mentioned he sealed with the wrong thing whatever that means. They pattern too good out of my setup to switch. Have killed 20 gobblers the past 2 seasons with the 20 gauge 1 5/8 oz 9's.

I was just curious if it was a problem with all fold crimped shells leaking buffer since salt creek uses that method.

They had issues with the buffer leaking in the early days of Hevi-Shot. Growing up I remember lead buckshot leaking buffer as well.  Stuff would make a mess in pockets. I believe that it was such an issue with Nitro They started using Flaxseed for buffer.  I am glad that you are having good luck with Foxtrot.  The owner has always treated me well.

I haven't experienced that at all with their ammo, or heard of it from others
