I was invited by a friend to go on a turkey hunting trip with him to Tara Wildlife in Mississippi. According to him they have very little pressure on there birds and only sell limited hunts. Has anyone on here ever hunted there? Just curious how the hunting was. Thanks

Years ago, Primos did a lot of their early videos there. Tara/Willow Point. But I have not heard anything about it in recent years.

Have a good one, Bo

Blessed are the peacemakers for they are the children of God.

If my memory serves me,  I thought part or maybe all of it was listed for sale or change of ownership or something to that effect? Possibly last year or couple years ago? During all the flood of the Mississippi River.  Saw something on the net about it I believe. Yes,  Bo is correct. Primos hunted there alot back in the day.  Chris Ashley from Smalltown Hunting was a guide there early on.  They hunted there as well on one of their shows.

Never turkey hunted there, but duck hunted across the oxbow.  If the river levels are right, a lot of purty turkey woods.
Psalms 118v24: This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Should be a good hunt , that area hasn't flooded in a couple of years .

Did a little research. They did sell off some of the original property. Around 6,000 acres once and 2,000 or so a separate time. That was a few years ago. Still over 6500 acres there according to the website.  There might be a gobbler or 2 there still...Lol
