Camelback podium is a good solution.

I will say though, I'm also in the South with lots of humidity and I don't have any issues using a bladder.  Been doing that for several years now without issue.  I'll never go back to a water bottle.

How is it to clean?  How often do you clean it?

If you're using water, not hard at all.  If I'm hunting the next day, I don't clean it.  Just refill and go.

If I'm not hunting the next day, I dump out the remaining water and leave the cap off to air out.  Blow out the water in the hose and hang it up.

End of season I will do a deeper clean with a kit that I got on Amazon for about $10.

Lots of selection on Amazon. I'd go metal vs plastic. More durable and better for you

I've been using this camelbak bottle for a few years.  I keep a gallon in the cooler in my truck and refill every time I head out.

I did not die from my water bladder last year but did only use it for the two later weeks of season...when it got hot. Use will most likely be the same this year.

I hate the sloshing sound of a water bottle in my vest. Usually it's a plastic water bottle out of a case the girl bought for the house. As I take a drink or five, I squeeze the bottle to let the air out and recap with water right at the top of the bottle. No more sound from the Aquafina while walking.

I have learned the squeeze trick.  Kind of makes me want the Platypus to avoid the sloshing water too.  But I will give a water bladder a closer look.

I use a plastic orange juice bottle. The Simply Orange brand bottle is ridged and has a large spout lid. Doesn't make noise like thin water bottle.

I do like to fill up about 1/3 of water bottle and put in freezer over night then in morning fill  in the morning helps keep it cool for a long time.

A Nalgene is always good to have or take a lightweight aluminum bottle and cover it with Stealth Strips. Another thing I do is lube threads on lid with a little coconut oil to prevent any noise.
