Everyone talks about the North Mountain Gear, but I'm curious if there are any other suggestions?  I'm a smaller guy and see that NMG only has a medium/large as their smallest size. Which means large. Never had one before but see the value.

the med large is what I wear ...I'm about ,160 lbs ..it's big enough to put over clothes if cool, and if hot outside I typically wear underwear and just the suit ..the looser fit helps with keeping cool on hot days

I have considered one but to me the lesfy suits are not leafy enough to make much difference, ghillie sure but I don't see the advantage with the leafy.

Are you guys getting picked off that much?

I thought about attching some rafia grass to my shoulder straps on my vest but just don't have much issue getting picked off.

The leafy suit I have is about 20yrs old.  I didn't believe in them till one season in Georgia. I was standing in between 2 pine trees about my height. Had a hen come walking by within 1 foot from me. I could have reached down and petted her.  Than i was hunting game land here in NC years later and had a hen come within 10ft of me and stayed around 15minutes just scratching around. That has made a believer out of me. I have a hard time setting still for more than 10 minutes.

Just ordered the jacket from NMG as the Amazon versions appear to be more leafless.

I'm typically sitting in a chair with palm fronds for a quick blind.

Also, want to see if I can pet a turkey as well!!

God made palm fronds / palmettos just for turkey hunters.

The main driving force for me is early season in Minnesota can be COLD. I think 2-3 years ago opening day had 8" of snow on the ground and it was 12 degrees.

Now that's not exactly the norm but you can expect night temps to drop to the mid to high 20s and the days can be anywhere from 30-45 degrees.

I'll wear my Sitka deer hunting camo to keep me warm, but it's got a lot of white and lighter tones it in it, so I throw my leafy top over it and I'm golden.

For pants I got some scent locker bibs with good ol Realtree edge on it.

Nat gear makes a good one .

I wear the medium/large NMG leafy pullover jacket and it fits perfect! Normally I wear a medium shirt and I am 5'11" 160 pounds. Hope that helps.

My adult son and I both use the First Lite Phantom leafy jacket and facemasks.
Doubled with them on last season. Well made. Probably keep using it.
