Percussion Caps

When's the last time you have seen any of these on the retail shelf ... I was at Dixie Gun Works in Union City Tennessee just over a year ago and they had just a few  of the CCI number 11 Qty 100 .... I'm shooting the bigger musket caps,  they had a few of these and for 100 of the CCI they were 12 dollars ... she said this was all they had at the time...

I wish I could mail you some, I have some that ended up being the wrong size for my gun. (they put wrong nipple on the gun, spring would not set them off)

My T/C Thunderhawk .50 caliber inline as well as my .50 caliber T/C Hawken uses the #11 caps. I've got several tins of them and found it necessary to slightly pinch them out-of-round to get them to stay on the nipple.

I shoot a custom .58 Hawken style gun a lot. It's one of my favorite ways to hunt big game. I bought one of these and it works pretty darn well.

You wouldn't have this problem if you stayed with a flintlock, If the good English flints get scarce you
just walk on down to a stream and pick up a couple pieces of chert rock, chip a little edge on it and there you go

In my area all the streams are sand and water ... and most have dead things floating in them...

Was in Cocke Co. several years ago and couldn't believe the amount of black flint laying on top of the ground, didn't have time to check it out, might have been an old encampment site.
