I had a late start this year.

I've been listening out back the last few mornings. Finally heard my 1st ones on the 18th. 7:00 am and very far away.................a beautiful morning.weather wise.

03/19/2022 - Really thought I would hear something this morning with the nice weather and all. Nothing.
A beautiful morning but no activity from my patio.

I have noticed a lack of turkeys in my area from last fall through now. Very little sightings all winter. Population must be way down. Coyotes are really running rampant this year. I hope the property I hunt is better.

Live in northern MD, close to MD-PA-DE corner, had 13 birds ( at least 3 Toms)  go thru backyard a few weeks ago, know they are within hearing distance. Havent heard a single gobble. Also have had a least 2 packs of coyotes show up. Birds are getting smarter, gobble and coyotes come a huntin.

I know in general the PA numbers are down and I agree with your thoughts on the matter.

Another quiet morning. A low pressure system moving through so I could hear a long way. It was calm and overcast with rain starting about 7:30. Went back inside and will try again.

Hearing reports from friends all over and it's all the same. This last week in Central Pa. the turkeys have been tight-lipped.
