Alcohol wipe will clean the surface.
Some guys like using a 240 grit sandpaper, I like lightly using a conditioning stone that comes with many glass calls a small spot of the call if I feel it needs it.
Ceramic doesn't "need" conditioned if it's been cleaned with an alcohol wipe and your striker tip is also conditioned up to get plenty of grip though.

Alcohol wipe and i rub the surface with a piece of scotch brite pad.. also keep your striker tip clean and your pretty much good to go IF THE CERAMIC call you have is from a good builder who knows how to build and tune a good pot call..
