My first turkey huntin vest was a dove vest in realtree with black shoulder straps. I still have it.

Same here. mine was a back shoulder strap vest in the early Realtree green pattern, with a zip on/off game bag. Two big bellow zippered pockets on each side. Still have it, its my dedicated fall turkey vest.

Me too.  I used an old fashioned army camo dove shooting vest with hardly any useful pockets. I stiched some felt pockets slots on the inside for my box calls.  No seat of course.

My first vest was USA made by Ideal products. Brown with a game bag and no cushion. It was built to be a general small game vest. I would carry my callers in the front pockets and a  Hunting Seat Cushion/Pillow, a canteen  and a snack in the game bag.

I bought my first vest a fieldline from Wal mart around 15 years ago for 12 dollars and I still use it today it has always served me well. I carried my calls in my pockets before that.

Pretty sure mine was a Russell Super Elite 3 I bought at Walmart when I was in junior high.

I started turkey hunting in 1987 and I didn't buy a my first vest until 1996. Before I purchased a vest I just loaded my pockets. My first Vest was a H.S. Strut in real tree advantage camo pattern with black straps. It didn't have a cushion attached.  I hunted with that vest for years. When I finally retired it was pretty shabby from years of wear and tear. I couldn't bring myself to throw it away. I still have it but it has not been used in years.

My grandfather started me with a satchel, which was actually an Army surplus gasmask bag. Just big enough for a box call, pot call, gloves, mask, and crackers!
Looking to buy Allen Dunfee scratch boxes.

I still got my first vest. I think I have total have 4 total.
Walls Vest Realtree , Bucklick Mossy Oak Shadow Leaf, Mossy Oak Super Elite Convertable in Mossy Oak Breakup and Alps Grand Slam with Mossy Oak Obsession

Tail Feathers

I started with a Bucklick Creek vest.  When it wore out, I had a BassPro version, a Primos version (that lasted about 3 hunts!) and a Cabela's Tactical Tat'r.
I have a $30 WalMart special as a backup, but I don't care much for it.
I pay for the features I want, but I don't know if I've ever seen an American made vest so that isn't a big factor in my shopping.
Love to hunt the King of Spring!

My first vest was purchased around 92or3. Have no idea on the brand and it no longer has a tag.

I've owned 4 different vests and have since went away from a vest and now use a small Fanny pack with sewn on butt pad, a bino harness and a camelback with a foam pad. Much more Mobil and room for everything I need.
