Debating on buying my wife a new vehicle and can't make up my mind on what to get her. I can get a 2008 Tahoe LTZ with DVD, navigation, bucket seats in the back, and sunroof for $28k... Or I can get her a 2011 traverse with just DVD, sunroof, and rear bucket seats for $34k..... But the traverse comes with a 100k mile warranty, while the tahoe only has 12k miles left on it's warranty...... What would you do?? Oh, and I have a 1 year old that HAS to watch Mickey Mouse every morning on the way to day care, so the DVD is a must....

We have both vehicles in our family. I think your wife would like the Traverse. There is alot of technology in that vehicle. It is an excellent road vehicle for trips Gas mileage is very good with the Traverse. You pointed out the excellent warranty. The Tahoe is an excellent vehicle but most ladies are happier with the Traverse. By the way I am a Chevy Dealer. If you need a price let me know.

My wife has a 2009 loaded Tahoe and loves it.  One of her friends got a gmc Acadia and my wife says "give me my Tahoe"!  Good luck with the decision.

I would go with the Traverse.  I don't know what the incentives are, but GM usually has some decent ones on new vehicles.  Unless the Tahoe is on sale from a private party, it's probably priced too high.  In addition, if you plan to finance the purchase, a full warranty is great piece of mind while you're making those payments.  Ultimately though, leave the final decision to your wife.  If YOU choose incorrectly, it might be a long time before you hear the end of it.   ;)
