Rectifire choke

Has anyone tried rectifire chokes?

A friend of mine did in a 20 ga 870 shooting handloaded 1-5/8 oz TSS 9s. For what other chokes do in that gun and with same load the rectifire did poorly. Maybe it is his gun does not like it but every other choke has done pretty well including some more open chokes.
