Looking for advice

There's this little local sporting goods place here where I live, and the owner has boxes of old turkey calls. Mostly primos, knight and hale, Pittman, hs strut. They are still marked with the same prices from 15-20 years ago, and when I asked one of the guys working there about the prices he said the owner isn't flexible on prices, even on older stuff.

There's a few in there I wouldn't mind having but I'm not gonna pay $30-45 a piece. They're not collectible, they're not high quality. I had some of them when I was first leaning to hunt, and I kind of want them for sentimental value.

How would you go about talking to her (the owner) to propose buying a few of these calls at a reduced price without ruffling her feathers right off the bat?

I'm worried if I just say "hey, these are only worth ten bucks now" she'll tell me to take a hike.

Thoughts?

go in with some ebay links on your phone. only if they're cheaper than what's she's asking, of course

make it a point that you're a return customer and ask about other items and maybe buy some other stuff you need anyways

I'm a pretty straight forward kind of guy. I would go in and tell her that I am interested in several of those calls but not at the prices marked. Remind her that she can sell them and recoup some of her money invested in them or keep them collecting dust. If she doesn't want to sell them at an agreeable price then thank her for her time and walk out come back a year later and ask again.

Put a bundle together and make her offer, 100 dollars or more sounds better than 45 dollars for some..

Best to just be straight forward, pick out the calls you want and ask if there is anything she can do price wise if you are buying several calls. If that inventory is "old" and not selling she may just cut you a price break even if just a bit.

If they're that old and been sitting in some old, hot in the summer shop they might be super dried out or heat damaged. With so many better options why chose even to go there? Looking for cheap, lots of stores have right after season clearances. Just a consideration
